Video - OZ PDRacers PD Racer Puddleduck Racer - Turning and manouvering quickly.

One of the fun things about the OZ PDRs is the way they spin in their own length.  With that strong bottom curve they should!  But they are aided by the large rudder and centerboard which both have an accurate foil profile - the plans have a template.

Note how the boat accelerates so quickly when it is heading away from the camera.  I just pull the sheet in the right amount and WHOOOSH.  That's why an OZ PDR is a great boat for learning - it is so light and responsive that it rewards you when you get things right.  Again, there's no magic involved, just follow the plan to get all the details right - mast/sail combination, foils (centerboard and rudder) and the rigging adjustments.

You can read more about the rigging setup here.
