This
is footage of me sailing one of our boats upwind in a bit more breeze.
The mast is bending way too much - which is why we increased the
mast dimensions when we put the plans together for these boats.
The new masts work much better and work nicely in up to 25 knots of breeze.
In the pictures of our record attempt at that link you can see
how we have moved the front end of the sprit boom a lot lower than in
the video which prevents the foot (bottom part) of the sail from
getting so baggy.
