I am coming into the dinghy world only now in my retirement years. I spent my professional life in naval vessel work, with the smallest of those builds being fast riverine craft, which primarily use brute force to achieve a plane. Your discussion of balancing hull volumes brought back memories of a graduate course in ship motions in which we spent the entire semester exploring different regimes of the 6DOF equation for boat hulls, so I can see that in the GIS you’ve gone down the road of trying to get he most from the least. Thanks for these insights.
