Hi Lars,

The approx weight should be around 8kg or 18lbs. This is with a 12mm wall.

A good place to check is on the Goat Island Skiff Group.

Some of the European GIS builders have sourced carbon tube with some braided component. 60mm diameter with a 3mm wall works out the same stiffness as the wooden mast at less than half the weight.

It is a relatively new approach so asking on the Goat Island Skiff group is the best approach.
