long story short - have old herreshoff (i am told) designed glass fibre hull, with a deck made of wooden ribs, then 3/8 ply, then thin layer of GRP, then 1/2 x 2 teak strips. ribs and plywood are rotting away in about 30% of deck. plan is to remove teak, put a fairly thin layer of epoxy glass over top, then glue the teak back in place, upside down, as a structural laminate, using G-Flex or similar. after this i hope to replace the plywood and ribs, as needed, from below. any suggestions or advise very much appreciated, should you have the time. thank you for the article, james.
