HI Bob,

The hollow square mast has no defined front back or sides. It is structurally sound in any orientation.

So the question becomes aesthetic. If the mast has a slight curve then choose its orientation in the boat to make the mast curve towards the back of the boat. This looks normal so won't be detected.

Best wishes

Hello, Mik:
I'm trying to determine the front side of my square, hollow mast.

Having checked your website, plus the files in the GIS Facebook, page, I haven't located the article that covers this.
If you would help me out here, I'd appreciate it
Be well,
Bob
