Goat Launching 1 – BobWes in Sacramento

Goat Island Skiff Plan info

I had the pleasure of meeting and sailing with BobWes on Timothy Lake in Oregon. We sailed David Graybeal’s Goat Island Skiff around at some speed until the rudder screws pulled out. Always use stainless steel bolts for rudder fittings!

But we got back OK.

Bobwes has not quite finished his Goat yet but he has had it in the water a couple of times. He was going to see if he could improvise a rig for it to do a bit of sailing as well.

His colour scheme is quite “rad”. I like it – nice Mediterranean feel.

It won’t be too many weeks before he gets it on the water in full sailing trim

It's very calm over here, why not leave a comment?

  • Now a bigger version of the OZ PDRacer
The PDRacer international forum started discussing a longer version of the humble PDRacer - and I had some drawings on hand already for a 12ft version because of Bob Alston.
