Plan Specifications, Printing, and Dual Measurements
All our plans are in the form of a PDF of around 40 pages for non sail boats and around 90 pages for sailboat plans.
The agents can usually print out plan books for you for a fee if you can’t print out the PDF file yourself. Also plan shops and copy shops can print out the plans for you.
The plans include full details of each step to build the boat. While the instructions are in metric (and the plans are popular in the USA) the timber list is in both metric and imperial. When reading the plan the first time any timber component is mentioned the cross sectional sizes are in metric and imperial for easy identification.
In the USA now most hardwares and big box stores have combination tape measures and straight edges with metric and imperial measurements. Almost every US customer ends up liking the metric system after actually using it.
